REPORT OF THE EARTH DAY CELEBRATIONS 2015
As part of the World Earth Day celebrations 2015, a Seminar was organised by Bhoomitra sena – Nature club of Mahatma Gandhi College, Thiruvananthapuram on 22-04-2015. The theme selected for this year’s celebrations was “Water Wonderful World“. Prof.Dr. K P Thrivikramji, Director, Programs, CED was the Chief guest of the occasion. He pointed out the role of carbondioxide in global warming. Also informed the students to actively engaged in energy conservation program so that our planet will become a better place for living. Dr. Mridula Nair. B, Principal Mahatma Gandhi College presided over the function. Dr.K.G.Ajit Kumar, Head of the Department of Botany and Faculty-in- charge of Bhoomithrasena Club welcomed the gatherings and Mr Govind gave away the Vote of thanks.
