The NSS is introduced to develop the spirit of service, cooperation, patriotism, and discipline among the youth of this country. The scheme provides ample opportunity for the volunteers to participate in camps, social service activities, and also to attend useful classes. The art of living together, and to cop up with challenging environment are also learnt from the varying activities of the NSS. Two units of the NSS are functional in this college. The activities of the units are so framed to fulfill the objectives of the NSS

Nss unit of MG college has donated 60 steel glasses and 60 steel plates to the Corporation , as a part of implementing green protocol in Trivandrum city in connection with the upcoming Attukal Pongala festival. The plates and cups were collected from teachers and students.
