DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS
The Department of Mathematics was established on 22 August 1948 as an undergraduate department. Later during the year 1967, the department started to offer Post graduate course in mathematics and during the year 2018 it was elevated as a research department. The department has eight faculty members and of these seven are Ph.D holders . There are eight research scholars in the department working under three recognised research guides. The faculty and students of the department have published most of their research works in WOS and Scopus indexed international journals and many more are in the pipeline. The department library is enriched with more than 3500 books and 12 journals. The computer laboratory which houses more than 30 internet enabled systems provide the students with hands on experience in programming languages and keeps the students and faculty of the department updated with the latest trends in the realms of higher education. There is a well run organisation of Post Graduate students called RAMANUJA VEDI which conducts many national and international programmes regularly.
