College Merit Day

Merit Day is a grand event every year since 2014. It is meant to be an occasion for giving award for meritorious achievement for teachers and students said Principal Dr MR Sudarsanakumar who presided over the function. He also extended his gratitude to Professor Kanakavalli teachers sons for establishing an endowment in teachers name for highest mark in MSc Zoology. He also extended gratitude to Sreelatha teacher who started an endowment in the name of her husband late Professor Sreekumar who was HoD of Commerce. Dr Lalithambika of economics department is also establishing an endowment in the name of her mother Radhamani Amma. Dr MR Sudarsanakumar spoke about the potential in the college.
The function was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr Prasannakumar the educational Secretary of Nair Service Society. Sir expressed his happiness in the way the college was functioning. He spoke many words to glorify the democratic socialist way in which Dr MR Sudarsanakumar led the college the past two years and expressed his sorrow as Principal is retiring in March. Prasannakumar sir also expressed gratitude for those who established the endowments.
Sri R Asokan PTA Vice President gave felicitations. He spoke about the efforts of earlier Principal Dr Sudheendran Nair and the current Principal Dr MR Sudarsanakumar. He mentioned how boys should become as academically active as girls. Dr Anandakumar Council Secretary gave felicitations and remembered the efforts of IQAC Coordinators, NAAC Coordinator, PTA Secretary, HoDs different convenor etc. He also remembered the effort of Dr Balachandran who was IQAC Coordinator last year and also of the activities of Research Committee
