Mahatma Gandhi College and the District Suchithwa Mission joined hands to observe Constitution Day
The National Service Scheme (NSS) of Mahatma Gandhi College, in collaboration with the State Suchithwa Mission, celebrated Constitution Day with a seminar on the topic, "Solid Waste Management and Biodiversity."
Advocate Saajev (Saajeev Foundation) engaged with students on the theme, "Solid Waste Management and Biodiversity Conservation: My Duty and Responsibility," emphasizing the values upheld by Articles 21, 48A, and 51A(g) of the Indian Constitution, which address fundamental duties, rights, and directive principles.
The program was inaugurated by the college principal, Dr. Balamurali R.S. Other speakers included Mrs. Suja P.S., Additional District Coordinator of the District Suchithwa Mission; NSS Program Coordinator Dr. Deepa V.; Dr. Rahul S.; and College Council Secretary Dr. Dileep A.S.
During the event, students took a pledge to internalize constitutional values, recognizing that managing waste at the source is everyone's responsibility. They also vowed to raise awareness among others and work collectively through their college initiatives to build a waste-free New Kerala.
Following this, under the leadership of the NSS volunteer secretaries, a poster presentation on the theme "Constitution" was organized.
