Seminar on Environment Day
On June 5, in observance of World Environment Day, the NCC Naval Wing in Association with Department of Psychology of Mahatma Gandhi College conducted a seminar on the topic: "Importance of Circular Economy and Green Hydrogen." The seminar was led by Dr. Sivu A R, Head of the Department,Assistant Professor, Department of Botany. Both students and NCC cadets attended the session, where they learned about sustainable living practices. Dr. Sivu A R explained how circular economy models minimize waste, enhance resource productivity, and contribute to environmental sustainability.
On the same day, a slogan competition and poster-making competition were conducted. Sravan Krishna from the Department of Mathematics won first prize in the slogan-making competition, and Abirami A S from the Department of Psychology won first prize in poster-making. Both winners were awarded tree saplings.
