NCC Army wing on World Environment Day
The NCC Army Wing of Mahatma Gandhi College observed World Environment Day with a special program on the theme “The Unpleasant Truth of Environmental Conservation.” The event began with Acharyavandanam and a welcome address by Lt. Dr. Binukumar B J. Dr. Anandakumar V.M, Principal, inaugurated the function, followed by a keynote address by Mr. Vaisakhan Thampi D S on key environmental challenges.The section concluded with a vote of thanks by L/cpl Harishma c

An awareness session educated cadets on issues like pollution, climate change, deforestation, and biodiversity loss. This was followed by an environmental quiz competition and a campus cleaning drive promoting eco-friendly practices.
As part of the green initiative, cadets also planted tree saplings on the college campus to mark the occasion and promote sustainability through action.
